Local Committees

Adelaide- and Canberra-based Local Management Committees have been established for the management of local design, construction and operational activities.

The Plant Accelerator - Adelaide

During the construction phase of the project, the Adelaide node’s Local Management Committee has held and will continue to hold weekly meetings to address node specific matters and develop processes for the management of the facility. Once operational, The Plant Accelerator will introduce a new structure including three groups:
The Plant Accelerator Management Committee will set the overall agenda and meet quarterly to review the facility’s finances and operational performance. The committee will consist of:

Mark Tester CI & Director, APPF and TPA, University of Adelaide, SA
Geoff Fincher CI, APPF, University of Adelaide, SA
Roger Leigh Head, School of Agriculture, Food & Wine, University of Adelaide, SA
Bettina Berger Postdoctoral Fellow, The Plant Accelerator, Adelaide, SA
Helli Meinecke Business Manager, The Plant Accelerator, Adelaide, SA
Stuart Matthews Manager, School of Agriculture, Food & Wine, University of Adelaide, SA

On receipt of an application for facility use, the Business Manager will consult the Application Assessment Group to review the scientific merit and experimental design of the application. Members of the group are:

Mark Tester Director, APPF and TPA, University of Adelaide, SA
Geoff Fincher CI - APPF, University of Adelaide, SA
Bettina Berger Postdoctoral Fellow, The Plant Accelerator, Adelaide, SA
Helli Meinecke Business Manager, The Plant Accelerator, Adelaide, SA

The Plant Accelerator Operations Group will discuss the logistical issues of a successful project application and determine the work flow and operating processes required to meet customer needs. The group will consist of:
